Town of Middletown, RI

Throwe Environmental, in partnership with the SNEP Network, the Rhode Island Infrastructure Bank (RIIB), and the Town of Middletown, kicked off the year-long project in October 2022. Throughout the year, the Project Team will develop a process for Town officials to identify capital project priorities as well as a report that will serve as the foundation for a long-term, climate resilience financing strategy for the Town. The Project Team will also provide assistance in establishing an Island-wide Resilience Leadership Exchange to include Middletown, the Town of Portsmouth, the City of Newport, RIIB, and Naval Station Newport. The Exchange will provide a consistent forum focused on advancing a regional approach to climate resilience across Aquidneck Island.
