Southeast New England Program (SNEP) Network

Throwe Environmental is a core partner organization in the Southeast New England Program (SNEP) Network, which leverages technical assistance to empower communities to achieve healthy watersheds, sustainable financing, and long-term climate resilience. The Network brings together environmental organizations, academic institutions, regional planners, and experienced consultants to collaboratively provide resilience-focused training and technical assistance opportunities to municipalities, tribes, and other organizations across the Southeast New England region.

Throwe Environmental’s primary role in the SNEP Network is to lead efforts on creating sustainable revenue streams for climate action, fostering peer-to-peer leadership development, and improving local water quality and climate resilience. Current projects focus on the development of comprehensive climate resilience action and financing strategies in Bourne, MA and Portsmouth, RI.

Throwe Environmental has also adapted and expanded the existing US Climate Toolkit to support its broad range of SNEP Network technical assistance projects. This new resource, called the Planning to Action: Climate Toolkit (PACT), guides communities through the process of turning climate planning into sustainable financing of on-the-ground projects—all while ensuring the necessary community engagement and resilience priorities are in place to support meaningful change.
