Project Description

Throwe Environmental (TE) serves as Field Liaisons for the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation’s (NFWF) Great Lakes Grant Programs (GLGP), including the Sustain Our Great Lakes (SOGL) Program, the Chi-Cal Rivers Fund, the Southeast Michigan Resilience Fund (SEMRF), and the Conservation Partners Program (CPP). 

To date, SOGL has awarded more than $140 million to projects that support restoration in the Great Lakes basing; Chi-Cal has awarded more than $16 million to improve the health, vitality, and accessibility of the waterways in the Chicago and Calumet regions; SEMRF has awarded more than $9 million to help increase the resilience of communities and natural resources in Southeast Michigan; and CPP has awarded more than $85 million to supporting voluntary conservation partnerships on private, working lands.

As Field Liaisons, TE provides one-to-one assistance to prospective and current GLGP grantees as they seek to develop competitive NFWF proposals.
