Project Description

The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), in partnership with federal and state partners in Utah and Nevada, has launched a streamlined technical assistance program designed to help water and wastewater utilities — especially those in smaller or overburdened communities — prepare for drought and cascading disastersThrough this initiative, utilities will receive free, customized technical assistance that simplifies the identification of potential drought mitigation projects and connects communities with funding options.

As part of the contracting team, TE applies its funding and financing expertise to connect water and wastewater utilities with targeted resources for drought mitigation projects. TE offers tailored recommendations on federal and state funding opportunities that best align with each water system’s specific needs. Additionally, TE advises utilities on next steps in securing funding/financing, ensuring they can effectively leverage available programs to build resilience
